For the state of Florida, it looks like any form of regulation is probably not going to happen when it comes to the internet cafés that have been popping up around the state. The governor and the Florida Cabinet have both given their support in banning these slots cafés but the Senate seems to be having a hard time getting their approval together for the cause. The House floor is already going to give it a full vote to make them illegal, but it does not look like it will even get through its first committee in the Senate.

According to Republican Senator Haridopolus, they are more concerned with the budget and are not worried about the cafés that seem to be taking over and appearing in many residential areas in the state. Some Senators said that they would support regulation, possibly, but that the ban was not going to be something that they put focus on. But attorneys say that if they regulate these flash slots in the state then they are essentially giving the go ahead to man other areas to start bringing them in, which could allow for a great influx in the games. They say that the law already says that these cafés are illegal and that the Senate simply needs to get behind the enforcement of that law.
